Proud members of Nike Soccer Camps

Location:  CURRY COLLEGE in Milton, MA (7 miles South of Boston, MA)

MBSC Soccer Camp is a part of the Offense Defense Tennis Camp family that has existed for 30 years.  To avoid the confusion of having different company names for each different sport, we have renamed all of our sports as MB Sports Camps.

MBSC

MBSC's Soccer Camp facilities include a state-of-the-art soccer field conveniently located on Curry College’s Campus, just around the corner from the dorms. Lecture rooms, soccer movies, and other innovative soccer teaching devices will be available to all campers.

Director of Soccer Program: Rachid Maaouni

Campers will be lead by Rachid Maaouni, our Head Pro. Originally from Morocco, Rachid started playing soccer before he can remember. His love for the game grew into a passion to become better as he excelled at every level. Today Rachid is a licensed coach with 15 years of coaching experience. From 1986 to 1990 he played as a semi-pro for FAR (Forces Armees Royales) of Morocco, a four time African cup winner, and has also played for RCA (Raja Casablanca Association) in Morocco from 1991 to 1994. He has since then played pro indoor soccer here in the U.S., for Arizona Sandsharks from 1996 to 1998 and has also worked in exclusive universities, conducting soccer coaching clinics and residential camps. Recently he has played and coached inter united and dynamo in the Sun Coast League in Florida (from 2000 to present) and has coached the U13 and U15 girls and boys with the Saint Pete Raiders (from 2004 to 2005). His enjoyment for the game did not end on the field, as he also received a BA in sports studies and wrote a thesis on soccer: “A modern system of play or the Alternation between specialization and polyvalence.” Rachid’s experience all over the world has led him to be tri-lingual, as he also speaks French & Spanish. With his leadership, every camper will excel.

Innovative Teaching Techniques
Our camp will be among the first to introduce futsal, 5 on 5 soccer, no walls. The only indoor soccer sanctioned by FIFA, the world governing body of soccer. We will also be introducing tennis soccer: these revolutionary programs, developed by the well known Dutch coach, Weil Coerver will provide a unique and logical approach to the development of our young soccer players.

We recognized that soccer requires self-discipline and a great deal of well-grooved technique for full enjoyment. Soccer can become a way of life for the person who is willing to subject himself to this demand for knowledge and discipline. But soccer should be fun and rewarding. It can be learned in a short period of time if the instruction is conducted properly and the student pursues the sport with enthusiasm. Therefore, our soccer program is designed and operated as an intensive educational soccer camp.

Program Types:

Comprehensive/All Skills Camp: (COED: Ages 8 – 18 years old)
Classes are programmed for three different proficiency levels: beginners, intermediates and advanced players — of all ages. Each student will be tested weekly and placed in a group of similar ability, and age. Beginners will be playing soccer in just a few days; intermediates will improve all aspects of their game; and advanced players will sharpen their game to a competitive edge.

High Potential/Elite Camp: (COED: Ages 11 – 18 years old)
Our intensified program for aspiring Tournament Players is ideal for competitive players who presently play or wish to try out for their high school or pre-high school teams or other outside leagues and traveling teams. Offense Defense Soccer Camp organizes matches on a regular basis.

One of our soccer players, doing drills with MLS New England Revolution Player- Steve Ralston -- Steve is the Captain of the Revolution.  Steve holds numerous Revolution and MLS records.  He holds the record for most career Assists in MLS history.  He has also started and played in more MLS games than anyone else in league history.  Steve is a 7-time MLS All-Star.  He is the Revolution's 2008 Team MVP and Goal Leader.  This is Steve's 14th Season in MLS and he has played in 4 MLS Cup Championship Games (all for the Revs).  Arguably one of the best midfielders in MLS history!

MB Soccer Camp has 2-3 MLS Soccer Players come to our camp every season.  This is a great opportunity for our campers to meet professional soccer players, train with them, and ask them questions about careers in soccer!
Supporting Staff:
Our camp staff consists of current or past professional soccer players, and current or past college players. Our staff is hand selected by the directors, ensuring only the highest quality of coaches!
Sleepover: One Week or Multi-Week

Over three quarters of our enrollment is comprised of sleepover students. All meals, lodging, formal soccer instruction and leisure time activities are provided for our campers.

We strongly suggest to get the most out of our program that each student 9-18 years old enrolls for a minimum of two weeks and most beneficially a 3 or more week period.

Day Student: One Week or Multi-Week

This program will be offered to players who live or will be staying off-campus and within commuting distance to Curry College. We recommend multi-week sessions but will also accept commuters as one-week campers. Day students will report Sunday, 2:00pm for testing. Group lessons will be taught Monday through Thursday, followed by a tournament Friday morning. Day campers will be provided with lunch at our school dining room.
