Proud members of Nike Softball Camps

We've changed our name, but everything else has stayed the same:
Formerly called Offense Defense Sports Camps, we are now

Mehdi/Maria Belhassan Sports Camps

MBSC's NIKE SOFTBALL CAMP

MBSC's Nike Softball Camp offers the finest facilities, staff, program, and superior instructional method that will bring your game to another level. Coined by a camper as 'the everything camp', MBSC provides its own unique teaching method that effectively covers every aspect of the game, offers a variety of fun off field activities, and attracts campers from all over the world.

MBSC Softball Camp is a part of the Offense Defense Tennis Camp family that has existed for 30 years.  To avoid the confusion of having different company names for each different sport, we have renamed all of our sports as MB Sports Camps.

Location:

The MBSC Nike Softball Camp is held at Curry College, in Milton, MA.  Its outstanding facilities include eleven outdoor courts, grass and Astroturf sports fields, softball fields, batting cage, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, outdoor swimming pool, new air conditioned dorms, and a wonderful new dining facility.  Curry College is also one of the few gated College's and all of our dorms are air conditioned.  MBSC will have exclusive use of these state of the art facilities.

Curry College is only seven miles south of Boston, making it a great location for our campers.  We are tucked away next to the scenic Blue Hills Reservation, yet we are close enough to Boston to make our evening activities a short drive away.  For more information on activities click on the "evening activities" link.

Head Pro:

Directing the Nike Softball Camp at Curry College is Amber Wright.  Coach Wright enters her 11th season with the University of South Florida softball coaching staff.  After eight years as USF softball’s assistant coach, Wright was promoted to Eriksen’s top assistant after the departure of former Associate Head Coach Stacey Heintz.  A former Bull herself, Wright had a stellar playing career at USF from 1994-97.  Having helped USF to a 151-65 overall mark and two conference titles (Southern Atlantic Softball Alliance '96, '97) from 1994-97, Wright was a member of the 1996 and 1997 Bulls squad that made back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances--the program's first two ever.

In 1997, Wright signed with the Tampa Bay Firestix of the Women's Professional Softball League, becoming the first softball player in USF history to be drafted. She spent the 1998 season with the Orlando Wahoos, where she was instrumental in the team's WPF Championship and, for her efforts, was a member of the all-star team. In 1999, she was traded back to the Firestix and helped lead the team to its first WPF Championship.

A CAMP FOR ALL LEVELS!

Classes are programmed for three different proficiency levels:
beginners, intermediates and advanced players — of all ages. Each student will be tested evaluated and placed in a group of similar ability, and age. Beginners will be playing softball in just a few days; intermediates will improve all aspects of their game; and advanced players will sharpen their game to a competitive edge.  Our intensified program for aspiring Tournament Players are ideal for competitive players who presently play or wish to try out for their high school or other outside leagues.

Over three quarters of our enrollment is comprised of sleepover students. The Sleepover program includes 25-30 hours of softball instruction, all meals, housing, and some nightly activities.

SUPERIOR SUPERVISION:

MBSC's Softball Camp hires 2 separate staff for double the supervision!  Coaches are not required to watch campers during non-sport hours and are therefore able to rest and give 100% effort everyday.  Their counselor staff have been hired to watch campers during all non-sport hours and field trips!

MORE THAN JUST SOFTBALL!

Off field activities include, but are not limited to: Baseball Games, Soccer Games, Lazer Tag, Movies, Cool Restaurants (Hard Rock Café, Charlie Horse), 6 Flags, Water Country, Whale Watch and much more!
